 Colette Davies, an experienced drama instructor, teaches students  aspects of theater, including pantomime, movement, and stage directions. They will build confidence through improvisational games and  performing in front of an audience in class. Using the theater skills they learn, students will turn books and stories into live performances.

Fawn Helekahi shares her exceptional musical talent, creativity and teaching skills with Hana’s keikies. Her program focuses on rhythm, voice control and reading music, together with ukulele and keyboard instruction on Hana Arts' instruments.


Returning kindergarten teacher, Deborah Thorne, engages students in a varied schedule of creative movements and arts & crafts. Long experienced in working with young children, Deborah aims to develop hand-eye coordination and stimulate students' imagination with ingenious activities.

Creative Friday Youth Program

All young people aged 5-12 from Hana/ East Maui including those home-schooled are welcome.
Classes run every Fridays throughout the school year from 7:45 am-1:00 pm at Hana School. Cafeteria is open, and school buses will pick up and drop off students.

Auntie Sheila Wickey is providing art lessons once more. Her methods energize young people’s imagination as students work with brush and washes in various mediums including watercolor, crayon relief and color pencil to create images of their surroundings and stories of their experiences.
