deserve Art
Committed to bringing Culture to East Maui, we organize Artistic Events for our community, often in collaboration with the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Univ. of Hawai'i and others. Events range from Theater Mask Workshops to Latin Music, Slam Poetry and Hawaii Opera. This is an on-going (mostly self-sustaining) program which offers events throughout the year.
We provide the only opportunity to see this caliber of performance in Hana.
Our Community Theatre group, made up of professionals, amatures and students, puts on an annual show for the community. These are professional quality productions and a source of pride for both performers and audience, always enthusiastic to see friends and family on stage. The recent production of “Little Women, the Musical” was a sell-out. This is the only theater of any kind available in East Maui.

Theatrical Players
Hana Arts, working within the Hana Public School facilities, offers an Art program every Friday throughout the school year. Students, grades k-5, living in East Maui, including those home-schooled, are welcome. With an enrollment of 122 students out of a possible185, this program is making an important impact by engaging our students in creative learning and re-connecting our more academically challenged children through the alternative study of Art. This is the only art education program available to these children in Hana.
Youth Program
Our newest project aims to provide a venue for local artists, musicians and crafts people to perform, display and sell their work.

Operating daily and open to the public, this is a self sustaining program where instructors provide daily classes for children & adults in dance, music, arts & crafts, drama, yoga, and visual arts. This is the only regularly scheduled art education program available in our community.
