Teachers - Kumu

Hana Arts is blessed with a great team of teachers (kumu in Hawaiian).

Linda's experience, her drive for excellence, and her sense of style compel her to strive for perfection. The results of her efforts speak for themselves.

Hana Arts is very fortunate to have such a talented and masterful theatre director to bring out the best in our children. We invite you to come and take part in the theater experience.

She has been teaching hula to children and adults for many many years and her troop can be seen dancing at the Hotel Hana Maui on Thursday nights and all the cultural events in Hana. Ramaia Collins
Ramaia Collins has maintained a consistent and steady yoga practice since 1972. After five years of teaching yoga in Fla, he moved to Maui in 1980, and was introduced to Ashstanga yoga, by master Patabi Jois.

A recent three year stay in California enabled Ramaia to complete the Calf College of Ayurveda and an extensive Anusara Teachers training program. Now, his teaching style is a unique blend of Ashtanga and Anusara yoga, and Ayurvedic principles, the healing science from India.
Each class is unique, challenging, inspiring and, most of all, fun.

Moni Laui
Moni Laui born and proudly raised "Old Polynesian" style on the remote island of Vava'u in the heart of Polynesia surrounded by a lifestyle strongly linked to music, dance and tradition.

His father was a farmer and minister who taught him to value hard work, wisdom he now shares with his students. His mother taught him skills in making tapa, weaving laufala, and the properties of tropical plantlife.

Moni recently moved to Hana after ten years in Marin County, California where he worked as a certified ACE instructor and co-director of his own dance troope. He now brings a delightful and exciting mix of traditional and contemporary dance from Tahiti to Hana.
